Q: My link appears to be clickable, but it doesn't take me to my card or it gives me an error message. |
|
A: Some e-mail programs do not recognize automatically generated URLs (Internet addresses). If the link does not take you to your card, you may have one of those programs. In this case, you will have to go to the Greetings Unlimited homepage and enter your card ID and your e-mail address.

Q: I received my card a while ago and forgot to retrieve it. For how long can I retrieve my card after it was sent? |
|
A: Not to worry, your card will be safe in the depths of our server for a whole two weeks. If you don't retrieve your card within 3 days after you received it, you will sent e-mail reminding you that someone who actually likes you sent you a greeting card. If you are to busy to pick up your card after that, you will get a third and final e-mail at the end of 7 days. Your card will be deleted if not retrieved within 7 days after the final notice. So, you can still get your card up to 2 weeks after you first received it. But hey, don't wait too long, someone who actually likes you might want to get a thank you card in return and he or she might think that you don't like him or her very much. Don't let that happen.

Q: When I click on the "Go Back" button after sending or viewing the card, I get an error. |
|
A: This is a problem that we encountered recently with some cards and it is being corrected as you are reading this. Just use the Back button on your browser (in the top left corner of the browser window) to return to the main page. We apologize for the inconvenience; the problem will be corrected as soon as possible.

Q: When I try to listen to the different tunes while creating a card, I can't hear anything. |
A: First of all, make sure you have a sound card in your computer. In the Start menu, go to Settings, then Control Panel, and double click on "Multimedia" in the window that pops up. If you are able to adjust the volume on the "Audio" tab in the "Playback" section, then you most likely have a sound card. If you are not able to adjust the volume, you're in for a disappointment.
So, if you have a sound card and still can't hear the sound, go to your browser.
If you are using Netscape Navigator, go to Menu "Edit," then "Preferences..." In the Preferences window, click on "Applications" and scroll down to a type called "MIDI Sequence" or something of that nature. Click on it, then click the "Edit..." button on the right. Make sure that you have "audio/mid" entered in the "MIME Type" field, and
"C:/WINDOWS/rundll32.exe C:/WINDOWS/SYSTEM/amovie.ocx,RunDll /open %1"
in the "Application" field.
If you do not have a MIDI Sequence type, click on the "New Type" button. You will see a window with 4 fields.
In the first field, Description of Type, enter "Midi Sequence,"
in the second field, File Extension, enter "MID RMI,"
in the third field, MIME Type, enter "audio/mid,"
in the Application field, enter "C:/WINDOWS/rundll32.exe C:/WINDOWS/SYSTEM/amovie.ocx,RunDll /open %1".
Then restart your browser and try to listen again.
